Today, parents, educators, and Democratic leaders from Senate District 12 and across southern Nevada called on Lisa Guzman to run for State Senate.
“I’ve watched Lisa Guzman fight to turn around the Clark County School District, but it’s now clear the fight needs to happen at the highest levels. That’s why I’m calling on Lisa Guzman to run for the State Senate,” said Ruben Murillo, Henderson community leader and retired special education teacher.
Margy Feldman is a Democratic leader in Henderson and Chair of the Nevada Democratic Party Jewish Caucus. “Nevada needs Lisa Guzman in the State Senate. Lisa’s passion for education and her experience in organizing, advocacy and on the school board and in the district, prepares her to lead our state with that same passion.”
“Lisa Guzman has consistently been present and willing to help the community. I know that as our State Senator she will bring the grace, kindness, intelligence, and work ethic our children and families need,” added Anna Marie Binder, Senate District 12 resident, parent, and public education advocate.
Jessica Houchins is a parent in District 12 and a school counselor. “Lisa Guzman fights for our kids now, but if we can get her to the State Senate, she will deliver for our kids and our community. Join me in asking Lisa Guzman to run for State Senate.”
Lisa Guzman currently represents District A on the Clark County School Board of Trustees and has worked as a classroom teacher and life-long advocate of public education. The Run Lisa Guzman campaign is backed by Strong Public Schools Nevada, which supports public education champions for elected office. You can find out more about the campaign at RunLisaGuzman.com.
